The Pontyscyttle aqueduct which carries the Llangollen canal & towpath 1000 feet over the River Dee 120 feet below in a narrow iron trough and is both the longest & highest navigable aqueduct in the world.
The lady's pool is a particularly broad stretch of the Kennet and Avon canal designed to look like a lake and forms part of our Kennet and Avon Walk.
The partially restored Lancaster follows an interesting route into the Lake District & passes close to the sea as it provides excellent views of the Cumbrian hills.

Starting in Pewsey this walk takes you across the remote Vale of Pewsey and offering views of white horses cut into the chalk hills before dropping down to the Wiltshire plain near the fine market town of Devizes. After Bradford on Avon the route enters the steeply wooded Avon valley and carries you into the heart of the majestic city of Bath.
The route is blessed with contrasting countryside from soft chalk hills to broad plains and wooded valleys.
Along the way you'll encounter feats of canal engineering including the Dundas aqueduct, Caen lock flight and Lady's pool.
The canal is a broad canal which links to the sea via the River Avon so you will see lots of different craft on your journey.
