The Llangollen Walk

The Pontyscyttle aqueduct which carries the Llangollen canal & towpath 1000 feet over the River Dee 120 feet below in a narrow iron trough and is both the longest & highest navigable aqueduct in the world.

Kennet & Avon Walk

The lady's pool is a particularly broad stretch of the Kennet and Avon canal designed to look like a lake and forms part of our Kennet and Avon Walk.

Lancaster Canal

The partially restored Lancaster follows an interesting route into the Lake District & passes close to the sea as it provides excellent views of the Cumbrian hills.

Our walks follows the western section of the Thames from its source near Cirencester to Pangbourne.

Our 4 day walk from The source to Oxford commences at the source and follows the fledgling river to the Saxon town of Cricklade for an overnight stay.  Day 2 follows the river to the pretty cotswold town of Lechlade where it becomes navigable.  

The 3rd and 4th days follow the river through tranquil meadows dotted with ancient bridges, handy pubs, and interesting locks and weirs, before approaching the dreaming spires of Oxford.

Our 3 day walk follows the river as it meanders south from Oxford with overnights stops in lovely Abingdon, Wallingford and Pangbourne.  The river is busy with pleasure craft and passes through Dorchester with its cathedral church.

Our 7 day walk combines both of the above into a walk that combines the fledgling, navigable, remote and busier sections of this river walk.
